2026.09.03 Thanks to my first newsletter going out, my friends informed me that none of the pictures were showing up in posts! It seems to have been a very simple mistake I was making and has been remedied. I’ve also added a links and lists page in the sidebar. Might get rid of them, but I think they’ll just be fun to have, not as main content. I’ve also redone the navigation links based on this tutorial to make those links easier to manage, but also, make it so that the link’s text decoration stays when you click on that page (such a tiny thing, but I’m for some reason delighted).

2026.08.14 I have initiated a simple tagging system for the posts, where there’s one category for each post, and mulitple tags. At the bottom of the post, there’s a link for the category (currently just “music”) where you can then see all the posts listed by tags. Depending on how my tag system develops, I may completely change this format. I’ve also added an RSS feed and a link to join a newsletter summary of my posts.

2026.08.01 It’s mostly been fine tuning bits and pieces. Once I get enough posts, my next foundational project will be tackling public tags and categories, to make it easier in the long-run for posts to be categorized. I’d also like to have a page where I can put audio recordings of different things, and maybe even a button to play audio on the home page? (Might be ambitious.) And then further than that, I’m envisioning something more interesting for the navigation bar, but I’m not sure what that is yet.

2026.07.17 I’ve been working on this website for a couple weeks now, and it occured to me it might be nice to have a place to record updates I make to this site – hence this page! The purpose of this website is primarily for the blog. But I do enjoy the creative process with coding, as someone who doesn’t do this for a living, and it could be fun to document the changes I make along the way as I learn. That also allows you to follow along and see what updates get made.
